おめでとうございます 日本甲殻類学会 !

My warmest congratulations to the Carcinological Society of Japan on reaching its milestone 60th anniversary in 2022.

The Carcinological Society of Japan (CSJ) continues to make important contributions to our global understanding of Crustaceans, but most importantly, also facilities developing, and maintaining associations, and communications between crustacean biologists and ecologists.

I have been honoured to attend a series of CSJ meetings (or meetings hosted by the CSJ: The Crustacean Society Meeting in Shinagawa (September 2009), the CSJ Annual Meeting in Sapporo (December 2013) and the Joint CSJ and International Association of Astacology International Conference on Crustacea, also in Sapporo, in September 2014. I greatly enjoyed attending the CSJ meetings, and my visits to Japan.

Maintaining communications, collaborations and friendships between people working on crustaceans is critically important, and I know the CSJ will continue its excellent work.

My very best wishes for the coming years.
