J.C. von Vaupel Klein: Congratulatory message

It is with great pleasure that I hereby send my sincerest, Hearty Congratulations to the Carcinological Society of Japan on the occasion of its 60-years existence. 

Even in the Netherlands, and, in fact, all around the World, carcinologists have experienced the impressive bloom of carcinology in Japan for many decades now, through the many, high-quality publications of Japanese carcinologists, in books as well as in international periodicals. 

This testifies what scientists can reach under the stimulating contact with colleagues working in the same discipline

I am, therefore, honoured that I may offer these Congratulations not only on my personal account, but also on behalf of the Board of Editors of Crustaceana as well as on behalf of the Editorial Staff of the series Treatise on Zoology -- The Crustacea.

May your excellently functioning Society continue to disperse its remarkably positive influence among Japanese carcinologists for many more years to come !
