Congratulations to the Carcinological Society of Japan for reaching its 60th anniversary !
I was a teenager at high school when CSJ was born but I was sufficiently advanced in my career almost 20 years later to become a foundation member of its much younger sister, The Crustacean Society.
I have been privileged over many decades to have collaborated with Japanese carcinologists and count them among my friends. I was pleased to meet these researchers and many others at the joint CSJ-TCS meeting in Tokyo in 2009.
I wish the Carcinological Society of Japan continuing success for the future.
