Honored guests, Members of the Carcinological Society of Japan, and participants of the 60th Annual Conference, I wish to send my congratulations on the continued success of the Society and its 60th anniversary meeting. I wish I could be there to celebrate with you, however my responsibilities here keep me in California.
I had the honor of attending the 2009 joint conference of the CSJ and The Crustacean Society, where I got to visit with many colleagues and friends and had the opportunity to create new relationships!
Again, I wish you the very best and most successful conference.
